The new die concept from LÄPPLE AUTOMOTIVE makes it possible to reduce the number of operations in sheet metal part production from a conventional set to just one. Drawing, trimming, piercing, flanging and forming are all done with a single tool. In our Heilbronn press shop, multi-functional dies are successfully used for the production of steel door outer panels as well as front lid outer and inner panels made of aluminum.
The result:
Accurately stamped components at full stroke rate.
In principle, this tool concept can be used to produce not only skin panels but also a wide variety of structural parts in a technically and economically viable way.
